Features Salmon Map Of Russia

Russian Salmon Association (RSA) launched a unique online project called “Salmon map of Russia”.
This application is a continuation of the project launched together with Norilsk Nickel company.
At present it is a flexible internet encyclopedia which contains information about the majority of salmon species in Russia.
The map uses comprehensive and convenient interface: users can find information about habitats of the whole species of Russian salmons from the Atlantic Ocean (Atlantic salmon) to the Far East (Sockeye salmon and Cherry salmon).
Each species has a description and an image prepared by partners of RSA from scientific institutions.At the current stage the project is more an informational resource but soon its functions and interactivity will be modified.
Users will be able to add their videos and photos describing catch&release principle.
Russian Salmon Associations sees its mission as building a community of people who are fascinated with nature and their hobby and will promote principles of humane fishing and protect Russian national assets.
